The photo above was given to me several years ago by the day school director of my church. On the back she had written, “This photo has ministered to me and given me food for thought. I think you’d enjoy reflecting on this.”
Since the day she gave it to me, I have indeed reflected on it and now I give you who read this a chance to reflect, also.
What does the photo of a trash can with the word “forgiveness” say to you?
I include here several Bible verses that have as their subject “forgiveness” for added thought generation.
Matthew 6:14-1 For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.
Isaiah 1:18 ”Come now, let us reason together,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.
Psalm 103:12 ”as far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us.”
Matthew 6:14-15 “For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.”
Hebrews 10:17 Then he adds: “Their sins and lawless acts I will remember no more.”
What is “forgiveness” to YOU?
