We come before Your face to bless Your Holy Name, Father, to praise You with our lips, to adore You with our hearts and to learn of You with our minds. We give ourselves anew today as we worship You.
We also come seeking Your blessing on us, Your children, dear Lord. As the deer pants for the water after a long run, so we pant for Your living water.
We come seeking Your blessings on this time of fellowship together. May the words of our mouths and the meditations of our hearts be acceptable to You, O God.
We come from the many walks of life that bring us here. We have been busy in the world this week—may we not have been of the world.
We come seeking a word from You, O God, a glimpse of Jesus, Your Son. We also seek Your wisdom to see Your will for us today.
Feed us, Lord, as we worship You and seek to be kept close to the root of Your love today. Transplant us, if needed, O Lord, but keep us close to You, our Root.
In Jesus Christ, our Savior’s name, Amen.
