Gracious God, Father of us all and Savior of all who call upon Your name, we would worship You today!
Enter in to each of us today to teach us Your will and Your way as we seek to know You better.
Touch our spirits by Your Spirit, as we hear You speak from Your Word that says for us to watch and pray with You.
Help us, Father, to see Your will for our lives so clearly that as we prepare to follow You, we can say as Your Son, “Not my will but Your will be done, dear Father!
Save us, Father, from our selfish wills that seek to have us be in and of this world. Use us Father, to share Your eternal will with this world.
Extend Your will for this world through us that it may know and believe that You are the one and only true God.
Move among us today, Spirit, to remind us of Your constant presence to lead, to guide, to comfort and to convict us as we live these lives in Your presence.
Allow us, yes even sinful us, to approach You in the quietness and aloneness of our own gethsemane moments and places today.
Nearer, still nearer, we would draw to You as we prepare to meet the challenges of living as Your sons and daughters today and in Your future.
Evoke in us the same grief over our sin as Your Son grieved, even unto death, over our sin and separation from You, Father. Forgive us, dear, Lord.
In the name of Your Son who grieves for us, we pray! Amen!
