(an acrostic prayer)

Majestic Father in heaven, we come beseeching You in all Your glory to attend to our prayer today as we come to worship You with praise and thanksgiving.

Yours is the kingdom and the power forever, Father. We thank You for Your love for us today.

Strengthen us through the power of Your Holy Spirit living within Your children today, Father. Renew our spirit and our strength as we worship today.

Take our hearts and make them clean, O God! Have mercy on us even as we worship today.

Remove the stain the stain that our sin has left on our hearts today, O God! Renew us today in the grace that is Your love.

Enthuse the weary hearts among us today with the joy of Your salvation, O Lord.

Needing to come to you in repentance, we bow our heads and seek forgiveness, even right now, O God!

Grant a cleansing through the blood of Your Son, today, O God! We need a renewed cleansing of our prideful lives, Father.

Together with You, Father, may we be used to bring Your kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven today.

Help us to renew our commitment to You and to Your church, O Father. Help us to be Your expression of Your love here in this place.

Round about us today, Father, we ask that Your grace would drip all about us today. May we share that grace today.

Evoke in us a sense of Your renewal for us today! May that renewal of strength and love be evident to our world.

Near to You, dear Father, we pause even in our praying to be very near to you.  We thank you for the evidence of Your presence today!

Enough of our prideful human attitudes, Father, take our sin away, O God! We know we are less that useful to You in our present condition!

Walk with us, Father, as we strive to pursue the paths that You have chosen for us. Renew our strength for the journey today, O God!

We pray in the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ!  Amen!

The Path Continues…
