(an acrostic prayer)

Savior, Shepherd, Master, King, we come to worship You in the spirit of Your Holiness today.

Enthuse us through the power of Your Spirit living in and through us as we gather to once again praise You, Holy Father.

Lead us from the pride of self into a Holy Spirit given self-control that sees others more than we see ourselves, O Lord.

Forgive us, Lord, for the self gratification that we seek as we live in our world and help us seek to gratify You.

Comfort Your children today, gracious Father. This world is extremely dangerous for those who love you and allow that love to show as Your Spirit grows its fruit in them.

Open the windows of our souls today and allow Your light to cleanse our very beings that the fruit of Your Spirit will take root and grow in us, Father.

Negate all the anxiety and worry that implodes in our minds and hearts, Father, with the assurance that You are in control of our lives and are growing our self-control as we allow You to lead us.

Tether us tightly to Your side, Father, we are feeling extremely cut loose these days. Help us to stay connected to You through Your Word and Your Spirit.

Renew our commitment in You, O Lord. We long to be useful to You and to Your kingdom’s work in this place as we long to control ourselves in Your Spirit.

Order our lives by the living of Your Word in and through us, dear Father. May we be people who obey by Your Spirit.

Listen to Your children praying, Father. We are bowed in humble adoration to learn to be You as Your Holy Spirit produces Your fruit in us daily.

In the name of Jesus Christ, we pray and believe. Amen!
